£27,000 - £32,000 PLUS EXCELLENT BENEFITS

The Company

My client is a world leading manufacturer of specialist equipment for supply to multiple industries. They have over 100 years experience and a global manufacturing operation.

Due to continued growth and expansion, they have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Test Engineer to take operational responsibility for the Test function.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Electrical Engineer, the Test Engineer will be hands-on as well as leading and motivating the team to achieve the required output. You will also support & guide the team to ensure they remain engaged in upholding the principles of TQM.

Additional responsibilities will include:

• Testing products to specified procedures
• Ensure the highest quality standards are always maintained
• Be accountable for all performance KPI s
• Recording build and test information
• Rejecting and recording non-conforming product
• Compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements
• Attending and participating in production progress meetings as requested
• Develop good working relationships with other teams

The Candidate

• The successful Test Engineer appointed to this role will be experienced with both electrical components and principles.
• You will be an excellent communicator, both verbally and written, and have managed team performance (through KPI s) as well as being accountable for your own workload.
• You will be able to influence and motivate as well as an effective problem solver with excellent attention to detail
• You will have carried out disciplinary hearings if required and conducted performance reviews.

The Benefits

In return the appointed Test Engineer will receive a salary of up to £32,000 (dependent on experience), alongside an attractive benefits package that includes a bonus, overtime and a progressive pay structure, a contributory pension scheme and 33 days holiday per year (including Bank Holidays) and life assurance.
