Nutrition Practitioner

Are you ready to take your nursing career to the next level? An exciting opportunity has opened up to become part of the Nutrition Specialist Team in the North Sector, based primarily at Glasgow Royal Infirmary (GRI).

As a Nutrition Nurse Practitioner, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering expert care to patients with complex nutritional needs. This is more than a job it’s a chance to lead, teach, innovate, and make a lasting impact.

You’ll be joining a passionate and growing team that includes: -

  • 2 consultant surgeons
  • 2 Band 7 Advanced Clinical Nurse Specialists (ACNS) –
  • 2 Band 6 Nutrition Nurse Practitioners - 1 could be you

You will be expected to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care across both ward-based and practitioner-led settings ·

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage patient pathways
  • Contribute to , teaching, research, and service development
  • Support patients and families through complex nutritional journeys

You should be

  • First Level Registered Nurse with a Degree-level qualification
  • Significant post-registration experience
  • Evidence of clinical expertise in nutrition or related fields
  • A strong commitment to ongoing professional development

This is a 37-hour post, over 4 or 5 days currently Monday to Friday
