This is an exciting opportunity to play a key strategic role in enabling the university to realise maximum value from its extensive data assets. Working across a complex, global organisation, you will lead the development of a coherent enterprise data architecture that supports world-class education, research and professional services.

As a senior member of our digital and technology community, you will work closely with data, analytics and technology leaders to define the future-state architecture for data management, integration, reporting, analytics and digital intelligence capabilities. You will define the direction of enterprise integration services, champion API-led approaches, and provide expert oversight to ensure projects and technology investments align with agreed architectural principles and strategic priorities.

We are looking for a candidate with significant experience in data architecture gained within a large and complex organisation. You will have expertise in enterprise data modelling, data management practices, and modern data architectures including Data Warehouses, Lakehouses, Data Mesh, Data Fabric and cloud-based analytics platforms. Experience with Microsoft data technologies such as Fabric, Data Factory, SQL Server, Power BI and Azure data services is highly desirable. You will be an excellent communicator, capable of influencing senior stakeholders and translating complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes. Experience of data governance, integration technologies, business intelligence and information security will be essential.

You will be educated to degree level or possess equivalent professional experience, with relevant certifications such as TOGAF, Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), highly desirable.

This is an exciting opportunity to influence the long-term digital strategy of a world-leading university and help deliver innovative, secure, and sustainable technology services that support education and research on a global scale.
