Candidate profile (text) - Default language IKEA Glasgow are looking to welcome Store Assistants to join our hard-working team.

You'll work across different areas of the store to support our customers' shopping experience, as part of a friendly team where every day brings something new.




WHAT WE OFFER

  • Start Date of employment will be: 13th October
  • Competitive hourly rate of £13.45per hour.
  • 20 and 24 hour contracts working 5 days over 7 evenings and weekends with every 4th weekend off. Availability on both Mondays and Thursdays is essential for this role.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

  • Previous experience is beneficial but not essential, all you will need is the enthusiasm to thrive in an active workplace.
  • Ability to prioritise and organise your workload swiftly and with attention to detail.
  • Experience in utilising technical equipment to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Ensure you are prepared to initiate tasks on your own initiative and to participate productively in group efforts.
  • Compliance with health and safety guidelines necessitates that applicants are 18 years of age or older.


WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

  • You will enhance customer experience by working across all areas to meet customer needs, ensure a seamless shopping experience, and act as a key point of contact for customers throughout their visit. You will initially be based within our Warehouse Fulfilment team, supporting order picking, Click & Collect, and store replenishment. Over time, you will be trained in our Sales and Customer Relations departments, allowing you to broaden your experience and develop knowledge across multiple areas of the business.
  • This is a hands-on role that will involve heavy lifting and moving products throughout the day.
  • Working with or around heavy machinery, such as, Forklift trucks, counterbalance, pump trucks, to safely and efficiently transport heavy goods within the warehouse.
  • Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed for a secure environment for both our customers and co-workers.
