What you’ll be serving up…
As a Catering Assistant, you will provide support across various operational tasks to help ensure the smooth daily running of the site or department.
- Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including a range of coffee specialties and teas
- Operate coffee machines and other beverage equipment, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation
- Assist customers with menu choices and deliver excellent customer service
- Maintain cleanliness of the coffee station, service areas, and equipment
- Assist with general cleaning, maintenance, and tidying of the work environment
- Support team members with various duties as required
- Help with the receipt, storage, and distribution of supplies and equipment
- Replenish stock, monitor ingredient levels, and report shortages when necessary
- Operate basic machinery or tools safely under supervision
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace
- Follow food safety, health and safety guidelines, and company policies
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients or visitors
- Previous experience in a catering, hospitality, retail, or barista role is desirable
- Knowledge of coffee preparation and beverage service would be an advantage
- Flexibility and willingness to undertake a variety of tasks
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety practices
- Positive attitude, reliability, and a passion for delivering great customer service
