Contract
£52,397 - £62,699 a year
Join Ofgem on a 12-month fixed-term contract and play a key role in shaping the future of Great Britain?s energy market. As part of the Financial Resilience and Controls Directorate, you will support the regulatory framework that has strengthened the financial resilience of energy suppliers, helping to protect consumers while enabling a competitive, innovative and investable energy sector.
Working within the Directorate?s Programme Management Office (PMO), you will help drive effective governance, planning, assurance and performance management across a diverse portfolio of regulatory and strategic initiatives. This is a varied and influential role where you will provide oversight of delivery, risks, dependencies, resources and budgets, while producing high-quality reporting and insights that inform senior decision-making.
You will work closely with senior leaders, the Corporate PMO, Private Office and embedded teams to ensure programmes and projects remain aligned with organisational priorities and strategic objectives. Alongside supporting day-to-day delivery, you will contribute to the ongoing development of PMO standards, processes and best practice, helping to embed a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality delivery across the Directorate.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced PMO professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, complex environment and building strong stakeholder relationships. In return, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on consumer outcomes, influence strategic delivery across the Markets Group, and contribute to the continued evolution of one of the UK's most important regulatory functions.
Ofgem has a culture of inclusion that encourages, supports and celebrates the diverse voices and experiences of our colleagues. It fuels our innovation and helps ensure we can best represent the consumers and the communities we serve. Everyone is welcome - as an inclusive workplace, our employees are comfortable bringing their authentic selves to work.
