Nursery Practitioner

Nursery Practitioner | Shawlands

Come and grow with us at Wildflower Shawlands!

Are you happiest when you're surrounded by little people, big personalities and a whole lot of curiosity?

Do you love those everyday moments that make working in Early Years so special, the first friendships, the latest milestone, the messy play, the big questions and the feeling that you've helped a child feel safe, confident and ready to explore?

If you're a fully qualified Early Years Practitioner who genuinely loves working with children and wants to be part of a team that cares about doing things brilliantly, we'd love to hear from you.

We're looking for a Nursery Practitioner to join Wildflower Shawlands, formerly Pied Piper Nursery, as we continue our exciting journey as Wildflower Nurseries & Preschool.

What you'll be doing

Every child is different, and that's what makes Early Years so brilliant. You'll play an important role in creating an environment where children feel safe, supported, curious and excited to learn.

You'll be:

• Creating a warm, nurturing and stimulating environment where every child feels safe, secure and valued
• Planning and delivering engaging activities that reflect children's interests, development and individual needs
• Building strong relationships with children and their families
• Supporting children's care, wellbeing and day-to-day routines
• Getting involved in everything from messy and sensory play to songs, stories, creative activities and outdoor adventures
• Observing children's development and using what you see to help shape their learning and next steps
• Encouraging children's confidence, independence and curiosity
• Working closely with your room team to create a calm, happy and positive environment
• Following our safeguarding and wellbeing procedures to make sure every child is safe and supported

Most importantly, you'll be someone who gets that the little things really matter. Getting down on their level, celebrating their latest achievement, helping them through a tricky moment or simply making them laugh.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who is:

• Holds a full and relevant Early Years qualification
• Passionate about working with children and supporting their development
• Warm, caring and naturally nurturing
• Full of ideas and excited to create meaningful learning experiences
• A great communicator who enjoys working as part of a team
• Reliable, positive and willing to get stuck in
• Passionate about giving children the very best start

Whether your experience is with babies, toddlers, preschool children or across different age groups, we'd love to hear from you.

You don't need to have every answer. We're looking for someone with the right attitude, energy and passion for Early Years who wants to grow with us.
