Catering Assistant (Part time, Multiple Roles)

Your role as a Catering Assistant:

We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and hardworking people, who have a keen eye for detail and who will take pride in their work and are passionate about food and delivering great service for every customer and will proactively go out of their ways to exceed customer expectations.

Working within any retail catering unit at University Park/Jubilee Campus, you will be responsible for serving customers, using our tills and supporting with general cleaning within the area where you work to include working within the dishwash/potwash area and adhering to all food safety and health and safety regulations, standards, policies, procedures and codes of practice.

As a member of our team, you will have a positive and energetic approach and be a colleague that the team look forward to working with and building strong relationships with others to accomplish tasks and shared goals. You will have an eye for detail and aim to deliver the exceptional operational standards required particularly at busy service times.

Available Positions

Please note - these are core positions within our retail units, due to operational and business needs candidates are required to have full flexibility and ability to work the full range of shifts and work time patterns stated below on notice as per below Monday to Friday to include occasional weekends. See specific list of required shifts below:

Shifts will be planned on a rotational pattern and not necessarily within the traditional term time. If you are applying for these positions, please ensure you have full availability/flexibility. - More information will be provided on the interview.

Post 1 - Hours of work 20 hours per week (5 days out of 7 to be arranged, mainly Monday to Friday to include occasional weekends) working a range of shifts on a rotational pattern between the hours 10.00am and 8.00pm for 30.6 working weeks of the year on a permanent fractional contract. Flexibility will be required. – covering retail units within University Park and/or Jubilee on notice.

This position will attract 15% pay uplift allowance for hours worked at the weekend.

Post 2 - Hours of work 25 hours per week (5 days out of 7 to be arranged, mainly Monday to Friday to include occasional weekends) working a range of shifts on a rotational pattern between the hours 08.00am and 6.00pm for 33 or 52 working weeks of the year on a permanent contract. Flexibility will be required. – covering retail units within University Park and/or Jubilee on notice.

These positions will attract 15% pay uplift allowance for hours worked at the weekend.

Successful candidates will be expected to attend induction training courses which will run each month, Monday to Friday on University Park Campus. Further details will be given at the interview.
