This role is open to women only and Framework considers this a genuine occupational requirement under the Equality Act 2010.

Do you have a keen interest in supporting young parents to achieve their aspirations, whilst building on strengths already in place to develop their parenting journey?

We are recruiting for a reliable and enthusiastic Specialist Young Person’s Worker who has a passion and commitment to provide support to young parents and their children in Bestwood, Nottingham.

Some of the responsibilities of the Specialist Worker are:

  • To build on the skills and confidence of young parents to empower them in maximising their independence, including parenting skills.
  • Excellent Knowledge of Safeguarding Children and Young People
  • To work in partnership with key stakeholders such as Health, Social Care and Housing
  • To assist young people in moving on into settled accommodation.
  • To take responsibility for the welfare of the young parents and children on site

The successful applicant will co-produce a support plan with the young parent, agree goals, identify risks, and risk management strategies and support individuals to build life skills to live independently and thrive.

Experience of working in an accommodation setting or similar environment and with young people or children is desirable but not necessary.

The role will require you to work weekends Saturday and Sunday shifts on a rota. The role requires a degree of flexibility in relation to working hours.

For an informal chat about the role please call Assistant Manager Rachael Hindley on 0115 8504070
