This role will support the delivery of the LabReady Innovate UK project through the development of poultry sampling methodologies, coordination of on-farm data collection activities, analysis of field trial data, and evaluation of the environmental and economic benefits of the LabReady chicken health monitoring system. You will contribute to technical reporting, stakeholder engagement, dissemination activities and the commercial development of the technology for use within the UK poultry industry.
You will contribute specialist expertise to the development and evaluation of the LabReady poultry health monitoring system, an innovative technology designed to support the early detection of health, welfare and productivity challenges in commercial chicken production. The role will focus on designing and implementing robust on-farm sampling and data collection protocols, analysing biological, environmental and production data, and assessing the environmental and economic impacts of the technology through Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and techno-economic evaluation. You will work closely with commercial poultry producers, veterinarians and industry partners to generate evidence that supports the adoption of innovative technologies within the poultry sector.
