A place to inspire
In a teaching role at Nottingham College you will play a vital part in helping thousands of people reach their potential. We are Nottingham’s College and together, we make a positive difference to our learners, to our communities and to each other. We’re building better futures, for others and for ourselves. Our teachers bring experience, flair, industry connections, passion and care to their roles and in return we invest in them. Here, you have the freedom to work in a way that suits you, the support to thrive and the opportunity to shape your career.
Who we're looking for
Due to the growth of our A level Maths provision, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as a 0.6 FTE Maths Teacher, where there may be potential to increase this to full-time hours. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Maths teacher to become part of our supportive and forward-thinking team.
We are seeking an individual with a proven track record of inspiring and motivating students to achieve their potential. We welcome applications from individuals currently in secondary schools and would support a January start for the right applicant. The successful candidate will be passionate about Maths education, possess excellent subject knowledge, and be committed to delivering engaging, high-quality learning experiences that raise attainment and build confidence.
You will be joining a department that places a strong emphasis on collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. We are committed to supporting our staff through high-quality Continuing Professional Development (CPD), sharing best practice, and creating opportunities for career progression. Whether you are an experienced practitioner or looking to further develop your teaching expertise, you will find a welcoming and encouraging environment where your professional growth is valued.
The role requires a proactive, and student-centred approach, alongside excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the STEM department and within the Maths team of teachers.
Applications will be shortlisted against the essential and desirable criteria outlined in the person specification. Please refer carefully to the attached Role Profile and ensure your application demonstrates how you meet these requirements, as they form an integral part of the selection process.
For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Cassie Reeves-Moore, Head of Year 1 A levels with oversight for STEM, via email at Cassandra.reeves-moore@nottinghamcollege.ac.uk
Interviews / Assessments are planned for: w/c 9th November 2026
