Escabeche is a buys independent, family-run restaurant & bar built on genuine hospitality, bold Spanish flavours, and great people.

Located in the West Bridgford, we’re looking for a charismatic, energetic, and people-focused Deputy General Manager to help lead our restaurant and bar.

This is a key leadership role within the business, perfect for someone who loves hospitality, thrives on creating atmosphere, and naturally brings energy to a room. We’re looking for a genuine host — someone who can inspire a team, build relationships with guests, and help create the kind of restaurant & bar people can’t wait to come back to.

You’ll work closely with the General Manager to continue building a fun, positive, and high-performing team culture centred around warmth, personality, and heartfelt hospitality.

The Role:

Support the Restaurant Manager in the day-to-day running of the restaurant & bar

Lead from the floor during service, creating a warm, lively, and memorable guest experience

Bring energy and positivity to every shift, helping set the tone for the team

Build strong relationships with guests and create a loyal following

Support the recruitment, training, and development of a happy and motivated team

Maintain high standards of service, atmosphere, cleanliness, and presentation

Take ownership of smooth daily operations in the Restaurant Manager’s absence

Support events, private bookings, and busy service periods with confidence and enthusiasm

About You:

Full of personality, charisma, and positive energy

A natural people person who loves being around guests and leading a team

Confident, engaging, and calm in a fast-paced hospitality environment

Passionate about food, drinks, music, atmosphere, and creating memorable experiences

Leads by example with warmth, kindness, and enthusiasm

Hands-on, hardworking, and always willing to support the team

Ideally experienced in a busy restaurant & bar environment, but attitude and character matter most

£32,700 base salary

Up to £2,000 achievable performance bonus

Service charge average split: £9,000

£32,700 + £2000 + £9000= £43,700
