Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum | Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire | Full-Time

Nottingham Pest Control is looking for an experienced and technically minded Field Biologist to join our growing team, supporting commercial and industrial customers across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to move beyond routine pest control and develop their career as a technical specialist, working with customers to investigate complex pest issues, identify risks and deliver effective, long-term prevention strategies.

You'll have the opportunity to work across a diverse range of environments, while also supporting technicians and account teams with technical advice, mentoring and problem-solving.

What You'll Be Doing

Your role will combine technical inspections, customer consultancy, auditing and operational support, including:

• Carrying out detailed pest risk assessments and technical site inspections.
• Identifying pest risks, trends, vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
• Developing tailored pest prevention and monitoring programmes.
• Providing customers with practical recommendations and action plans.
• Producing professional technical reports and recommendations.
• Supporting customers with compliance and audit requirements.
• Conducting internal audits and technical inspections.
• Supporting recognised industry standards and audit frameworks.
• Investigating complex pest management issues and providing technical solutions.
• Supporting and mentoring field technicians and operational teams.
• Delivering technical guidance and training where required.
• Keeping up to date with legislation, industry developments and new pest management technologies.
• Supporting continuous improvement across the business.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is curious, analytical and passionate about technical pest management.

You'll ideally have:

• 2–3+ years' experience within pest control, technical inspection or a Field Biologist role.
• Strong knowledge of pest management principles, legislation and industry best practice.
• Experience carrying out inspections, audits or pest risk assessments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to produce clear, professional technical reports.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• A BPCA/RSPH Level 2 Award in Pest Management or equivalent.
• A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region.

Qualifications such as RSPH Level 3, Advanced Technician or Field Biologist certification would be highly desirable.
