The role:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Band 3 Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy Generic Support Worker to join the Older People’s Services AHP Team at Inverclyde Royal Hospital.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will support Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists in delivering high-quality, person-centred care to older adults within acute and rehabilitation settings.

All roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) can only issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) where these are met.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:

Permanent, part-time, 22.5 hours per week

Shift pattern - 5 over 7 days

Base location - Inverclyde Royal Hospital

Key responsibilities:

• Support Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists in delivering person-centred care to older adults.
• Assist with functional assessments and rehabilitation interventions.
• Support discharge planning processes.
• Facilitate referrals to community services to ensure safe and effective transitions of care.
• Undertake administrative duties to support service delivery.
• Carry out departmental housekeeping responsibilities.
• Monitor stock levels and manage equipment.
• Order supplies to ensure the smooth running of the service.
• Contribute to service development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work collaboratively within a busy multidisciplinary clinical environment.

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, flexible, and patient-centred approach to care.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to delivering excellent care for older people.
• Willingness to support service development and continuous improvement.
• Previous experience

Desirable Knowledge and Experience

• Full UK driving licence.
